APC Lagos Debunks ‘Villa Directive’ Rumour, Insists No Emergency Recall of SLG, LGA Officials

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, has firmly denied reports alleging that its State Chairman ordered the immediate recall of all Secretaries to Local Governments (SLGs) and Supervisors of Local Government Areas to the party secretariat in Acme over supposed instructions from the Presidential Villa.

In a strongly worded statement released on Tuesday, the party described the claim as false, misleading, and deliberately orchestrated to stir tension within its fold and misinform the public.

The Lagos APC made it clear that at no time did the State Chairman issue any directive summoning local government officials for an emergency meeting. It also dismissed speculation that any such meeting had been scheduled.

The statement, signed by the Lagos APC Spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to discipline, transparency, and adherence to due process in all its operations.

According to the party, decisions are taken collectively and communicated through established and recognised channels, not through rumours or anonymous sources.

The APC further stressed that its attention remains firmly fixed on consolidating its internal structures as preparations intensify ahead of the forthcoming national elections. It noted that mobilisation strategies are being strengthened to ensure electoral success.

While urging members and supporters to remain calm and focused, the party cautioned against giving attention to unverified claims capable of overheating the political atmosphere.

It assured the public that any official directive or development would be properly communicated through authorised platforms.

Reiterating its stance, the Lagos APC maintained that unity and order remain the cornerstone of its political engagement in the state and that it will not be distracted by what it described as calculated misinformation
