Early Life and Education

From humble beginnings in Abia State, Hon. Okere pursued education with determination. She completed her O’Level in 1994, earned a Diploma in Computer Studies in 2012, graduated with a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos in 1998, and obtained a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2006. Political Career

Since 2017, Hon. Okere has represented Ifoshi Ward as a councillor in Ejigbo LCDA under the All Progressives Congress (APC). In August 2021, she was appointed Chief Whip in a significant leadership reshuffle, swapping roles with Hon. Suraju Muritala to become Majority Leader under The Mandate Movement (TMM). As Ex-Officio for Ndigbo in APC Lagos State and Woman Leader of the Regional Leaders Council, she advocates for Igbo interests and women’s inclusion in politics.

As Managing Director of Klass Beauty Home Enterprises, Hon. Okere merges business with social impact. Her community engagements include membership in the Council of Igbo Chiefs of Elders in Ejigbo, PCRC Ejigbo Chapter, and Lagos State Trademark and Artisans. She serves as Matron for Ohaneze Ndigbo Ejigbo Lagos, Music Association of Nigeria Ejigbo Chapter, and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria. Additionally, as Adviser to the Lagos State Barbers, Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association (LABHCA), she holds titles like Yeye Oge and First Queen of LABHCA Institute of Cosmetologist and Hair Management (LICOHM).

Cultural honors such as Ada Ndigbo ji eje mba 1 na Lagos State and Adatugo 1 of Ndigbo in Lagos State reflect her role as a cultural ambassador.

Hon. Okere is renowned for her commitment to empowerment, particularly targeting youths and women through skills development and economic upliftment.
