BREAKING: Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Resigns on Health Grounds
Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has stepped down from office, citing health challenges.
The announcement was confirmed on Monday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the minister’s resignation.
In his resignation letter, Badaru attributed his decision to deteriorating health, noting that he would be unable to effectively continue in his role. President Tinubu expressed appreciation for Badaru’s service and contributions to national security.
