As we step into 2026, I extend my New Year greetings to the good people of Ejigbo LCDA, families and friends. This year calls for renewed hope, stronger unity, and purposeful action as we continue to build a government that truly serves the people.
OSHODI, LAGOS — The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede-Almaroof, has marked the commencement of 2026 with a pledge to intensify the delivery of life-impacting infrastructure and social projects across the council area.
In a New Year message released to the public, the Chairman expressed profound gratitude for the peaceful transition into the year, describing it as a season of fulfillment for the goals and aspirations of the residents.
Gratitude for Re-election Mandate
A significant highlight of the Chairman’s address was his appreciation for the local government staff and the wider community. He specifically linked the successes of the past year to the “unalloyed support” of the people, which he noted was instrumental in his successful bid for a second four-year term.
“I commend the residents and staff for their support, which culminated in my re-election. This mandate is a call to more service,” the Chairman noted, signaling that his second term will be characterized by a “consolidation of achievements.”
2026: A Year of Execution
Otunba Oloyede-Almaroof assured constituents that 2026 would see a renewed focus on:
-
Infrastructure: Completion of ongoing road works and the initiation of new projects to boost the local economy.
-
Service Delivery: Improving the efficiency of local government staff to better serve the public.
-
Goal Realization: He offered prayers for the residents, wishing that milestones not reached in 2025 would be successfully attained in the new year.
The Chairman concluded by urging residents to remain law-abiding and supportive of government policies to ensure a harmonious and prosperous 2026 for all.
