Ejigbo LCDA Chairman Aare TAT Commends Oke Afa Ward APC for Promoting Unity and Gratitude at 3rd Christmas Festival

Ejigbo LCDA Executive Chairman, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has praised the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oke Afa Ward for organizing the third edition of the ward’s Christmas Festival, themed “Appreciation”. The event, held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, provided a platform to celebrate unity, express gratitude, and recognize contributions to community development.

Speaking at the festival, Aare TAT described the gathering as a vital opportunity to thank God, celebrate residents, and appreciate the efforts of government and party members despite the year’s challenges. He emphasized that such initiatives strengthen bonds, boost morale, and deepen commitment among party faithful.

“This kind of initiative will continue to make party members happy and more committed,” he noted, while commending the Ward Councillor, Hon. Olabisi Rukayat Muritala, and APC Ward Chairman, Hon. Seun Dejo, for sustaining the annual event. He assured residents of his administration’s dedication to inclusive governance and tangible development.

The Councillor for Oke Afa Ward, Hon. Olabisi Rukayat Muritala, explained that the festival was designed to honor leaders, supporters, and stakeholders who stood by the party through elections and beyond. A key highlight was the empowerment of 20 widows, each receiving ₦50,000 cash grants to support their festive celebrations.

“I understand their struggles because I was trained by a widow. I know what it takes to raise children after losing a husband,” Hon. Muritala said, adding that the intervention was “just the tip of the iceberg” and more support would follow.

The Ward Chairman, Hon. Seun Dejo, thanked residents for fostering unity and praised the Councillor for the “Appreciation” theme, which honored individuals promoting peace in Oke Afa Ward and Ejigbo LCDA.

The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Olayinka Alausa, commended the ward for celebrating excellence and urged continued faith, unity, and resilience amid national challenges. He described Christmas as a message of redemption, peace, and renewed purpose.
