Zone B Excos Announce Fall of Former Zonal Chairman in Scathing Statement
Date of Publication: December 29, 2025
In a strongly worded statement circulating on social media, the Zone B Executive Committee (Excos) of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has publicly announced the “downfall” of their former Zonal Chairman, referred to as “Alagba.” The post, attributed to the Zone B Excos, accuses the ex-chairman of mismanagement, exploitation of staff, and squandering union funds during his four-year tenure.
The statement highlights alleged abuses of power, including treating staff “like slaves” without rewards, personal extravagance likened to “his uncle,” and recent attempts to spread misinformation about a supposed court judgment for reinstatement. It praises the current leadership under Alhaji Adekunle Adio Olanrewaji (Sego) and declares Isolo’s prosperity moving forward.
Full Text of the Statement as Posted:
It is with a heavy heart that we, the Zone B Excos, announce the downfall of our former Zonal Chairman (Alagba).
During his four-year tenure, our zonal chairman made us pass through Hell while on earth. He made sure all staffs work like slaves, offering no rewards for our hard work. He squandered NURTW funds on personal luxuries just like his uncle 😆, seemingly oblivious to the day when a new administration would bring relief to the suffering Excos and staffs. That day has arrived, and now the former zonal chairman is desperately seeking what he failed to invest in. Recently, Alagba went around spreading rumors of a judgment that would reinstate him, which happened to be a blatant and deliberate attempt to misinform the public and bring about catastrophe within the peace-loving community.
The judgment papers he obtained will only serve to entertain the gullibles. “Iwe Boli Ati Ekpa le Gba“
Oju 👀 yin shi ma bo si…
Isolo will thrive under the leadership of Alhaji Adekunle Adio Olanrewaji (Sego)
To the former Zone B Chairman, my advice for you is to retire and accept the fact that Nemesis has caught up with you, you are nothing but total failure. You have been relieved of your duties. You caused so much suffering to the Zonal Exco and staff that no one wants you at the corridors of power again. You have caused us enough pain.
May prosperity judge you.
This man caused hardworking NURTW staffs and their families to go to bed hungry.
The tears of those you harmed will haunt you.
Four years as Zonal Chairman, and nothing to show for it.
Alagba is the new definition of Bad Leader.

CivicWire.ng reports this development as part of ongoing discussions within the NURTW Zone B, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in union leadership. The statement reflects internal transitions and calls for peaceful progress under new management.
We urge all parties to prioritize dialogue and unity for the benefit of members and the community.
