Subject: Urgent Need for a Joint Peace Statement and the De-escalation of Hostilities

Distinguished Leaders,

As the 2027 electoral cycle begins to take shape, the political atmosphere in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II—particularly within Ejigbo—is reaching a fever pitch. While competition is the heartbeat of democracy, the current trajectory of the discourse between your respective support groups has moved beyond healthy rivalry into a territory of toxic personal destruction.

As a community-focused platform, CivicWire.ng has witnessed firsthand the vitriol shared in the names of your leadership. We have seen supporters trade insults that do not just damage your individual reputations, but threaten the very fabric of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in our constituency.

The Burden of Leadership

A leader is responsible not only for their own actions but for the conduct of those who carry their banner. When a supporter uses “gutter language” or engages in character assassination, it is your brand that is tarnished. Currently, the “camp vs. camp” mentality is creating deep-seated animosity that no election victory can easily heal.

If this continues, the winner of the 2027 ticket will inherit a fractured house, making a general election victory significantly harder and governance nearly impossible.

Our Humble Request

In the interest of Ejigbo and the wider Oshodi-Isolo community, CivicWire.ng respectfully calls on both of you to:

  1. Issue a Joint Statement of Peace: A simple, powerful photograph or a signed joint statement affirming that you are brothers within the same party and that your rivalry is strictly based on ideas, not personalities.

  2. Publicly Disavow Hate Speech: Use your official social media channels and community meetings to explicitly tell your supporters that anyone using insults, slurs, or threats does not represent your values.

  3. Refocus on the “Ejigbo Agenda”: Encourage your followers to debate infrastructure, legislative goals, and economic empowerment rather than private lives.

Why Now?

Just days ago, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated the APC Strategy and Conflict Resolution Committee to ensure party cohesion ahead of 2027. By acting now, you align yourselves with this national vision of unity. You show the people of Oshodi-Isolo that you are not just seeking power, but are committed to the peace and progress of the people you wish to lead.

History remembers those who build bridges, not those who allow their followers to burn them. We look forward to seeing a new era of “Issue-Based Politics” in our constituency.

Respectfully,

The Editorial Desk CivicWire.ng

In response to CivicWire.ng’s intervention, we reaffirm our commitment to peace, decorum, and issue-based politics in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II. Derogatory labels such as “Judas,” “betrayal,” or “arobafin,” as well as branding any leader or supporters as Okola, must cease immediately. Concerned Loyalists remains peaceful, respectful of service rendered, and focused on unity. A house divided against itself cannot stand; reckless rhetoric weakens the APC and Ejigbo’s future. Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE) harbors no animosity toward anyone and seeks constructive competition. Let ideas prevail over insults. I am Prince Olatoke Tajudeen Ademola. For peace, progress, and credible leadership ahead.

Judas is a character in the biblical story that betrayed his master, I don’t know why you should conclude that it’s someone from your camp that is being attacked, even if all things being equal and what the blogger wrote makes sense in the entirety of the write up, we still want to request for accountability from you boss and camp, that not too much to ask as a constituent

Anonymous response and the use of derogatory language do not reflect courage or responsible politics. Genuine opinions should be expressed openly and with respect, especially toward elders who deserve dignity. Such conduct weakens internal party cohesion and public trust.
Our stance remains firm: we are for peace, unity, and strict adherence to party supremacy. Honourable Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE) has consistently demonstrated commitment to peaceful engagement and constructive dialogue.
We therefore urge supporters of Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan to desist from inflammatory rhetoric and embrace civility, mutual respect, and disciplined political conduct in the interest of party harmony.
